United Methodist Women

The United Methodist Women is a United Methodist service program with social, educational, and inspirational benefits.

The organization provides mission money and service to the Dallas Northwest District, and internationally.

The purpose is to know God, experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, and to develop a creative, supportive fellowship, and to participate in global missions.

Meetings are on the 2nd Saturday of each month at 9:30 a.m. in the Conference Room.

For more information, email Debbie Ingram or call her at (469) 261-5358.

United Methodist Men

United Methodist MenBy encouraging a commitment to worship, fellowship, discipleship, and mission, based on where we are on our own personal journey, United Methodist Men will provide men opportunities to grow in their faith and knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Come and join your Little Elm brothers as we share our walk with the Lord. UMM are more than just ordinary men. We love our God and seek Christian friendship, fellowship, and love in His name.

Whether you’re new to the Church, a seasoned member or just a visitor, we would love to have you join in our fellowship.

Our general meetings are every 4th Saturday of the month for breakfast and fellowship at 8:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary. Coffee and breakfast are served followed by a scripture lesson and discussion. Come join the fellowship and fun.

We would be glad to give you any information about becoming involved with the UMM. We all have been blessed by God with special talents. The talents were given to each of us to serve God’s plan.

For more information, email UMM President Gary Newsome or call him at (214) 502-4361.

The United Methodist Men are Committed to:

Service: Through various projects like Angel Food Ministry, helping mow lawns of the elderly, code compliance issues, and helping the Little Elm Food Bank.

Prayer: Praying for those who are in need in both our community and our country.

Leadership: Discussing ways to be a better leader in our home, work, church, and daily lives.

Faith: Sharing the love of Christ with other men.

Relationships: Share concerns that we as men have in our daily lives.

Church Choir Choir 2016.07.31_ 1.Adj

Button Memorial United Methodist Church welcomes new members to our choir! If singing isn’t your gift, but you have other musical talents, please tell us about those. We love to incorporate musicians into our services. We are under the music direction of the very talented Mark Sell. Please contact him at music@buttonchurch.org

You’ll find that we experience a variety of music during our services, from praise songs to traditional hymns, so there’s a little something for everyone.

Typically we practice Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m., before the service. When we get closer to major holidays, we will usually add a middle of the week practice to help us prepare. If you cannot commit for choir each week, but want to be a part of the holiday specials, please contact Mark so he can let you know about the “seasonal practice” times.

This is a great way to get to know some of our members on an individual basis. It’s very true that getting connected with a small group helps you connect to the church as a whole. We sometimes get together socially, and have now established the annual “talent show” at Button Church which benefits our music program.

Micah 6:8

He has told you, O mortal, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
